POLITICOLOGENETMAAL – CALL FOR PAPERS
The Politicologenetmaal will take place on 11-12 June 2026 in Gent. Paper proposals can be submitted to one of the 17 workshops by the 15th of March 2026, via the submission form available on the website. Please find the list of workshops here.

ELS WITTE PRIZE AND DANIËL HEINSIUS THESIS PRIZE
During the Politicologenetmaal, we award two prizes. The jury of the Els Witte Annual Prize for Political Science 2025 awards the best PhD dissertation in political science (and related disciplines). The dissertation was defended in 2025 at a Belgian/Dutch university or elsewhere, but relates to Dutch or Belgian politics. Send your nominations to Denny van der Vlist; elswitteprijs@politicologie.nl.

Every master’s thesis submitted in 2025 that obtained a score of at least 8 (The Netherlands) or 16 (Belgium) is eligible for the Daniel Heinsius thesis prize. Submissions, including the thesis itself and proof of the score obtained, can be sent to Marthe Walgrave; marthe.walgrave@uantwerpen.be.


SPECIAL ISSUE – CALL FOR PAPERS
Cato Waeterloos and Julia Weiss invite papers for a Special Issue Collection within Humanities and Social Sciences Communication. They invite submissions for the collection Grievances and victimhood in social and political engagement. The submission deadline is 27 October 2026.
